Lorrha GAA News for 14 July

Senior: Lorrha will return to action in the Seamus O Riain Cup against Holycross/Ballycahill on the weekend of 11-12 August.

Junior: Lorrha are now focusing on their final group game away to Templederry on weekend 21-22 July which will determine who progresses to the quarter finals of the Junior 'B' Chamoionship along with Silvermines and Newport. Lorrha need to win to progress.

Minor: Lorrha Rovers Gaels took on Toomevara in the championship last Thursday in Puckane and despite being short a number of players, produced a fine performance to win 2-17 to 1-16 to make it two wins from two. Lorrha next take on Nenagh Eire Og in Puckane on Wednesday 11th July at 7.30pm.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels Under 16 'A' Hurling campaign began away to Nenagh Eire Og last Monday and recorded an exciting one point win, 1-27 to 7-8. Next Monday, 16th July, they are play Kiladangan in Moatfield at 7.00pm but that game maybe subject to change.

Under 14: Lorrha's next game is on Wednesday 18th July when they play Kilruane MacDonaghs in Cloughjordan at 7.00pm

Under 12: Last Monday week, Lorrha took on Roscrea in Roscrea, and won 3-11 to 1-2 to make it four wins from six. Lorrha have one final game to play against Kilruane MacDonaghs on Friday 13th July in Cloughjordan at 7.30pm, before the quarter finals take place on Friday 20th July.

Juvenile: Well done to Donnacha O'Meara and Kevin Cahalan who were on the Tipperary Under 14 & 15 football panels involved in the Munster tournaments last Saturday. Donnacha and the U14's have progressed to the final of the Jim Power tournament in Waterford on Saturday 28th July while the Under 15's won the Shield final in the Humphrey Kelleher Tournament in Cork, defeating Clare in the final.

Cul Camp: The Kellogg's Cul Camp in Lorrha takes place from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th July. Registration only online at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. Cost is €60 for 1st child; €50 for 2nd child; €40 for 3rd and subsequent children. We ask all registrations to be completed as soon as possible to ensure all gear is there for the kids on the first morning.

Tipperary: Hard luck to the Under 21 hurlers in the Munster final last Wednesday.

Social Dancing: in the GAA Centre on Friday to the music of Glenn Flynn. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Mahon and O'Brien families on the deaths last week of Con Mahon, Balleragh, Lorrha, and Pat O'Brien, Elm Park, Birr. May they rest in peace.
