Tipperary Clubs Draw: All co-ordinators are asked to collect all outstanding money for the draw before registering members for the 2011-2012 draw which begins on 20 May. The Draw is €100 for the year or €10 per month with monthly prizes ranging from €200 up to €30,000 and a car. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Lotto: The numbers drawn this week were: 1 – 12 – 16 – 21. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Kitty Slevin, Nancy White, Maria Brophy, Mammy & Bonnar and Pat Morris. The Promoters were: Kelly’s, Pat Hough and James Dunne. Our jackpot now stands at €9,250. Thank you for your continued support.

Official Opening: The official opening of new Dressings Rooms and Sports Hall will take place on Sunday evening, 22 May and will be marked by a match between the Tipperary and Galway Under 21 hurlers at 7.00pm. Tony Reddin will be on hand to perform the opening with the new facility fully open to the public.

Ground Clean-Up: In advance of the day, we are holding a volunteer clean-up of the grounds on this Saturday, 14 May between 10am and 1pm. Any help to pick up rubbish, cut long grass, paint walls for even half an hour would be greatly appreciated.

Senior: Our seniors suffered a disappointing 2-19 to 1-9 defeat to Kilruane MacDonaghs in Toomevaara on Saturday evening, virtually ending our hopes of making the knockout stages. Our fourth game is against Toomevara in Cloughjordan on Sunday next at 3.30pm.

Junior: The juniors recorded a fine 4-5 to 0-16 win over Kilruane MacDonaghs in Moatfield on Sunday evening. We missed out on the semi-finals on score difference but it gives us great hope going into the championship.

Minor Football: The minors earned their first win in the championship with a 2-7 to 0-7 win over Inane Rovers in Ballingarry last Thursday. Their final game was against Nenagh Eire Og on Tuesday. News next week.

U16: The U16’s played Ballina in the North ‘C’ Final on Monday last. News next week.

U14: The U14’s begin their hurling championship campaign against Templederry Kenyons in Moatfield on Wednesday (this evening) 7pm

Premier 12’s: Training for U10 & 12’s in Moatfield on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

Under 8: Training in Moatfield on Friday’s from 7-8pm.

Cul Camp: The Lorrha Vhi Cul Camp will be held between 18-22 July. Application forms will be circulated in the schools this week. Prices are; €55 for first child; €45 for second and €35 for each subsequent child. Club contact is Louise Mannion 087-6598387

Super Camp: A Super Camp for 13-16 year olds, both boys and girls will be held in Burgess GAA club, Kilcolman between 3-5 August. The cost of the camp is €40 but places are limited to 12 per club. Contact Louise Mannion 087-6598387.

Old Time Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of J&S Sound. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the O’Meara family on death of Michael O’Meara (Blakefield) who died over the weekend. Michael was a member of our 1948 North senior winning team and was a mind of information with regard to hurling. He was afforded a guard of honour by the club at his removal to Lorrha church on Monday evening. May he rest in peace.
Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Cahalan family on the death of Thomas Cahalan, Curraghgloss who died last week. May he rest in peace.
