All County Table Quiz: Lorrha will be hosting a heat in the second All County Quiz, run by the Tipperary County Board on Friday, 21st February in The Shed at the Friars Tavern, Lorrha. Clubs from all over the county will be taking part on the night with the questions will be asked live on Tipp FM from 9pm so we are asking all teams to be present by 8.45pm. Teams of 4 are €40 or €10 each if you do not have a team, come along on the night and we'll put teams together. The heat winner winner will progress to the County Final in Thurles in March where there is a top prize of €2000 for the winner with many other prizes. All those who take part in the quiz throughout the county will be entered into a draw for a pair of tickets to a Garth Brooks concert this summer in Croke Park. Last year we had just five teams take part so we would hope to improve on that so why not get your team together for a novel quiz night.

National Draw: Lorrha GAA Club are now selling tickets for GAA's National Draw which will be held on St Patrick's Day. Tickets are €10 each with prizes ranging from a trip to Australia for the International Rules series next October to trips to New York, All Ireland final tickets etc. There will also be an in-club fund for those who buy their tickets for the draw. A prize fund of €500 has been set aside but if we sell 1000 or more tickets, the prize fund will rise to €1000. The in-club draw will take place at a special Irish Night in the Clubhouse on Sunday, 16th March on the eve of St Patrick's Day. Closing date for the sale of tickets is 7th March as ticket stubs have to be in Dublin for the main draw on St Patrick's Day. Funds raised from the draw will go towards repairing the damage to the goalposts and nets damaged by the storm before Christmas. Tickets are on sale from club officers and all the adult players.
