Lorrha GAA News for 15 September

Under 21: Lorrha have an outstanding North U21 'B' hurling championship first round game against Shannon Rovers which was due to be played this Saturday but has been postponed as Shannon Rovers are in an Intermediate hurling quarter final. The winner progresses to the quarter final with the loser to the playoffs.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels played Toomevara in the North Under 16 'A' hurling quarter final on Monday last and won 3-23 to 2-24, after extra time. They played Kiladangan in the semi-final on Monday last and put in a great performance, but came up short 1-13 to 1-9. Hard luck to the players and mentors.

Under 15: The U15 Hurling Plate start date has been put back to Sunday 23rd September where Lorrha Rovers Gaels play Borris-Ileigh in Moatfield in a quarter final.

Under 13: The Under 13 League began last Wednesday against Moneygall/Clonakenny in Moneygall where Lorrha were defeated 5-7 to 3-5. This evening, Wednesday, they play Burgess in Moatfield at 6.30pm.

Under 11: Lorrha are taking part in the U11 Hurling Plate and are in the 'B' grade. Last Friday in round 3, they are away to Moneygall and lost 5-7 to 3-5. This Saturday, 15th September, they host Ballina at 3.30pm in the final round.

Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: The September Draw takes place this Friday, 14th September in Portroe. We ask all promoters to bring their subscriptions up to date.

Lotto: The jackpot is €6,450 with a Match 3 pot of €100. You can play online at www.locallotto.ie.

Social Dancing: in the GAA Centre on Friday to the music of Chris Kilroe. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Bourke family on the death of Richie Bourke, Lehinch, who passed away this week. May he rest in peace.
