Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €5,700. Senior: Lorrha are awaiting the draw for the last 16 of the County Championship. This game will be played after the divisional championships have been completed and depending on Tipperary's fate this weekend, it would appear we won't be playing until September.

Junior Hurling: Lorrha made it three wins from three in the North Junior 'B' Hurling Championship in Cloughjordan on Sunday evening when we defeated Toomevara, 2-16 to 0-11. Lorrha led 0-10 to 0-3 at half time with second goal goals from Christopher Fogarty and Kevin Hough sealing the win. Lorrha's final group game is against Kildangan where a win will see us straight into the semi-final.

Minor: The Minor hurlers next game is against Burgess on Thursday, 14th August in Cloughjordan at 6.30pm with our final match against Borrisokane due to take place the following week.

Under 14: Hard luck to the U14's who lost to Portroe in the North 'C' Hurling Championship final last Friday evening.

Tipperary: Best of luck to Patrick Maher and the Tipperary senior hurling team in this Sunday's All Ireland semi-final against Cork at Croke Park. Tickets are still available through Centra, SuperValu or online at

Tipperary Clubs Draw: The club had no joy in the August Draw which took place last Friday night.

Parish Golf Outing: The Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takes place in Portumna Golf Club on Saturday, 16th August with tee-times from 8.30am to 12pm. This years captain is Vincent Liffey while the President is Joe Morris. To book a tee time contact Vincent Liffey (0873328577) or Tony Coen (0876219639).

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Walk the Line. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. There are also Social Dancing classes each Wednesday night in the GAA Centre from 8-11pm for both beginners and those looking to improve.
