Senior: Hard luck to the senior hurlers who lost 2-17 to 1-11 to Toomevara in the North Quarter Final playoff in Nenagh last Sunday. Lorrha led 1-6 to 0-8 at the break but a strong final quarter saw Toome to victory.
Lorrha now go into the first round of the County Championship which will begin on weekend 15-16 June while the league semi-final against Cappawhite is also upcoming
Junior Hurling: Lorrha’s final league game is against Kilruane MacDonaghs in two weeks time where we need a win to have any chance of making the semi-finals.
Under 12: Hard luck to the U12’s who bowed out in the County semi-final on a 4-8 to 0-7 scoreline to Cappawhite in The Ragg last Saturday.
Thomas MacDonaghs: Well done to Cormac Houlihan who was a used sub in Thomas MacDonaghs 1-14 to 0-7 win over Ardfinnan in the County Senior Football Championship in Drombane last Saturday evening.
Tipperary Clubs Draw: The 2013-2014 Draw commences on Friday, 17th May and our promoters will be in touch with existing and new players in the coming days. We ask all promoters and subscribers to bring their previous years accounts up to date before the new draw commences. Tickets are €100 for the year and can be paid in instalments of 50×2, 20×5 or 10×10. Club Coordinator is Margaret Gleeson while local promoters are Tony Coen, Shane Brophy, Louis McCormack and John O’Brien.
Cúl Camp: This years Kellogg’s Cúl Camp for 6-13 year olds takes place in Moatfield from 15-19 July. Register online at while there are money-off vouchers on Kelloggs Corn Flakes.
Gym Membership: (All rates are inclusive of club membership rates above) Adult Players – €150 (€50+€100); Non-Playing member – €150 (€30+€120); Student – €100 (€20+€80); Family (2+2) – €200 (€80+€120); Non club member – €150. The Gathering: The Club will be hold a Gathering in the GAA Centre on Friday, 21st June as part of the Lorrha & Dorrha Heritage Festival. We will be holding a reunion of the 1983 Lorrha Intermediate Football and Under 21 ‘B’ hurlers, 1993 Minor hurlers and 2003 Junior ‘B’ hurlers, all of whom won North titles in those years. More details in the coming weeks but keep the date free.
Communion: Congratulations to all our club juveniles who made their First Holy Communion in Rathcabbin last Sunday.

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Peter Burke. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. Admission €8 with refreshments served.
