Lorrha GAA News for 18 October

November 8, 2018

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €7,050. Thank you for your continued support. You can also play our lotto online at www.locallotto.ie where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

Senior: Our senior hurlers bowed out of the County Championship following a 3-22 to 2-21 defeat by Kildangan in the preliminary quarter final in Nenagh on Sunday. Lorrha led by two points at the break but a slow start to the second half saw us fall behind and despite staying in touch, could not get back in front.

The club would like to thank the players and management for their commitment this years which saw us make progress and being part of the Top 16 for next years competition.

Junior Hurling: The Junior hurlers will finally play their North 'B' Championship semi-final against Newport this Saturday afternoon in Nenagh at 4.30pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors.

Under 21 Hurling: Lorrha will be out in this grade in the coming weeks so all players are encouraged to attend training regularly

Junior Football: Lorrha are out of the race for the county championship but will take part in the North Championship later in the autumn.

GAA Season Ticket: The 2015 GAA Season Ticket is now on sale. For the month of October, the price is €85 (€95 after 31st October) while juveniles are €10. For the loyal Tipperary follower, this is the best way of ensuring your All Ireland Final ticket should Tipperary get there next year. If part of the GAA Season Ticket scheme and you attend 60% of Tipperary's games in the league and championship next year, you will automatically get an All Ireland final ticket. For the initial €85 you get: 1) All of Tipperary's Allianz League round matches plus all League semi-finals, play-offs and finals in that code; 2) Tipperary's opening Championship fixture; 3) All Allianz League round matches in your selected code, so if you have a Tipperary Hurling Season Ticket you can go to any Allianz League Hurling match; 4) AIB GAA Club All-Ireland Finals in Croke Park on St. Patrick's Day.

To join, go to www.gaa.ie/tickets to join but there is a limit on the numbers per county so don't delay as Tipperary's is set to sell out quickly.
