Tipperary GAA Clubs’ Draw: The 2011-2012 County Board Draw has now concluded and all promoters are asked to bring their accounts up to date in advance of the new Draw which commences on Friday, 8 June. Thanks to all that have supported the draw over the past year.
The 2012-2013 Draw will be its 25th Anniversary and there will be 25 Skoda Cars up front grabs (2 per month) as well as 25 monthly prizes of €500 each. Tickets are €100 each can be paid in two instalments of €50 each; five instalments of €20 each or ten monthly instalments of €10. There is also a direct debit facility available. If you wish to join, please contact club coordinator Margaret Gleeson or promoters Madeleine Maher, Shane Brophy, Michael Hoctor, John O’Brien, Louis McCormack, Seamus Deely and Tony Coen.
Lotto: Our jackpot new stands at €17,200. Thank you for your continued support. You can also play our lotto online at www.myclubfinances.com where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.
Senior: The seniors suffered a 2-23 to 1-11 defeat to Templederry in their latest North SHC game on Saturday last. We cannot make the knockout stages but have one more game against Borrisokane on Saturday, 10 June.
This Sunday the seniors travel to Cappawhite to take on the home side in the next round of the County League where we need a win to make the semi-finals. Throw-in @ 3pm.
Under 16: The U16 B Hurling Championship gets underway on 9th July. Lorrha are grouped with Portroe (away), Silvermines (home), Shannon Rovers (away) and Borrisokane (home).
Under 14: The U14 ‘B’ Hurling Championship gets underway on Wednesday 30th May. Lorrha are grouped with Roscrea ‘B’, Portroe, Borris-Ileigh, Portroe and Silvermines.
Under 12: Hard luck to the U12s who were beaten 2-6 to 2-5 by Ballinahinch in the Premier 12 North Football End Games in Newport last Saturday. Lorrha trailed by nine points at one stage but staged a superb comeback and only a last gasp save denied them a win. The team now head to Thurles this weekend for the County End Games and we wish them the best of luck.

Cúl Camp: This years Kelloggs Cul Camp will be held in Moatfield between 16-20 July from 10am-2.30pm daily. Cost is €55 for 1 child; €45 for second child; €40 for third and subsequent child. The camp is open to juveniles between the ages of 6 & 13. Each juvenile will get a Kellogg’s Cul Camp jersey and gear bag. Gym: Our Gym is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7pm to 9.30pm. There is also a special class on a Thursday evening for those who wish to train at a slower pace from 7-8pm. Gym cost is €3 per member or €5 for non members.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Pat Costello. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Brophy family on the death of Paddy Brophy, Lisballyard, who died suddenly over the weekend. May he rest in peace.
