Lorrha GAA News for 2 April

Membership: Closing date for membership is THIS Thursday, 31 March. Figures collated by Croke Park on this date will count towards our allocation of Tipperary tickets later in the year. All membership is payable to Registrar Tadhg Nevin (087-4125642) or you can pay online at www.myclubfinances.com and go to Lorrha GAA and club on club membership.
€40 – Adult Players; €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry).

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €8,350. Thank you for your continued support.Next Monday’s draw (4 April) will see the work group being Team 2.

Senior: The seniors league game against Knockavilla Kickhams was postponed. There is no league game this weekend but the the North Championship opener against Kildangan takes place the following Sunday in Nenagh @ 2pm.

Junior: The juniors suffered a 3-18 to 2-6 defeat to Borris-Ileigh on Sunday evening. Next up is Ballina in Moatfield on Sunday next, 3 April @ 5.30pm.

Minor: The football championship begins on Thursday, 31 March in Moatfield against Nenagh Éire Óg @ 6.15pm.

U16: The U16’s beaten by Borrisokane in their second game in Moatfield on Friday last. Lorrha’s next game is against Shannon Rovers Gaels in Borrisokane this weekend. Check Bord na nOg fixtures for details. Training on Wednesday nights in Moatfield from 7-8pm. All players to attend.

U14: The U14 football championship begins next Wednesday evening, March 30th against Burgess in Moatfield @ 7pm. Training continues on Friday evenings from 6-7pm.

Premier 12s: The Under 21’s begin their Premier 12’s campaign this Saturday against Knockshegowna in Moatfield @ 3pm. This is the first of a new U12 concept where games will be played in a blitz format with every player on both teams guaranteed at least one half of action per game.

Indoor Hurling: for Under 8’s continues in Lorrha Hall on Friday evening from 7- 8pm. U10 & 12 training in Lorrha Hall on Fridays from 6-7pm and on Tuesdays from 7.30 8.30pm.

Tipperary Clubs Draw: The final draw of the 2010-2011 Tipperary Clubs draw took place recently. All coordinators are asked to collect all outstanding money for the draw before registering members for the 2011-2012 draw which will begin in May.

Photo Gallery: Further to the ongoing development of the new clubhouse facilities, the committee are looking at setting up of photo gallery of current and past Lorrha teams and Lorrha players who played with Tipperary over the years.
We ask that anyone who would have photos in their family photo albums relating to above would wish to share with the club. The club will make a copy of your submitted photo and return original to you. If you have any interesting photos no matter how old or new that you think may be of interest to the club please contact Rose Mannion or William Harding.

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night in our newly extended function room to the music of Catherine & Images. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
