Lorrha GAA News for 2 July

November 8, 2018

Junior Hurling: Lorrha 2-14 Roscrea 3-8
A terrific comeback in the final ten minutes saw us maintain our unbeaten start in the Junior ‘A’ Championship in Moatfield on Sunday evening. With ten minutes remaining, we trailed by six points after conceding a third goal but inspired by goals from Cian Hogan and Willie Hough and points from Brendan Coen and Ronan King, we managed to win a fine game by three points.
We now top the group and our next game against Kildangan is provisionally fixed for 11-12 July.

Minor Hurling: Lorrha 4-12 Portroe 3-9
We got our minor championship campaign off to a good start with a hard-earned win in Portroe on Friday evening. Star of the show for Lorrha was Willie Maher who helped himself to a hat-trick of goals. There was a return to action for Sean Cleary after suffering a nasty head injury recently while Ciaran Haugh turned in another good display, just two days after playing with the Tipp minors.
Our next game takes place this Thursday, 3 July in Moatfield when we host Toomevara. Throw-in is at 7.45pm.
