FOR SATURDAY 2 MAY 2009

Senior: Lorrha lost out to Kildangan in the opening round of the senior hurling championship in Nenagh on Sunday. See Match Report.
Our next game is the county league quarter final v Carrick Swan in Templemore on Bank Holiday Monday. Check time for confirmation. Our next North Championship game is against Templederry in Nenagh on Sunday, 10 May @ 3pm.

Junior Camogie: We played Burgess on friday night and came out with a great win played under hard conditions, 0-7 to 0-3. We play Drom & Inch on Friday night at home at 7. Support welcomed! We wish a very speedy recovery to Elaine Hough also. get better soon!

Minor Football: We conceded a walkover to Borrisokane last week but are still through to the semi-finals.

U14 Football: Lorrha were beaten 5-11 to 2-8 by Shannon Rovers Gaels on Wednesday last. They next face Burgess in Moatfield on Wednesday (tonight) @ 6.30pm.

U12 Football: Hard Luck to our Under 12’s who were beaten by Shannon Rovers Gaels in the North semi-final on Friday last.

Tipperary: Best of luck to Patrick Maher and the Tipperary senior hurlers in this Sundays National League Final. Congratulations also to the Tipp footballers on their league success.

Lá na gClub: Are we will be playing senior hurling and with first holy communion taking place in the parish on Sunday, 10 May, our Lá na gClub celebrations have been deferred and are now likely to take place on 17 May.

Indoor Hurling: Indoor hurling continues in Lorrha Hall on Friday night at 7pm with Team 1 in charge.

Membership: Membership for 2009 is now available with the closing date of Sunday, 17 May. Only fully paid up members get access to tickets to the Munster Championship game v Cork on 31 May. €40 – Adult Players; €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry). All players must have their membership paid before the start of the league and all membership is payable to club registrar Jack Maher or any committee member.

Tipp Draw: This is a massive source of revenue with 50% of each subscription coming back to the club. We look forward to your continued support. Any new people wishing to join should contact club coordinator Margaret Gleeson or any of the promoters. The first Draw will be held on Friday June 5th with an Audi A6 or €50,000 as first prize. Tickets are €100 for the year with multiple payment options

Golf Classic: A date for your diary; our Golf Classic takes place again in Birr Golf Club on Friday, 19 June. More details in the coming weeks.

All lotto draws take place in the GAA Clubhouse on Monday night. The draw takes place at 10pm and all are welcome to attend. Thank you for your continued support.

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing resumes on Friday night to the music of Pat & Richie. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
