Senior: The senior hurlers are travelling to East Cork this Saturday for a senior hurling tournament involving Bride Rovers, Murroe-Boher and Tallow. The games will be in preparation for the start of the County Challenge Cup on weekend 1st March.

Under 21 Football: Well done to the U21's who defeated Silvermines 3-14 to 1-4 in their first championship game last Saturday. Next Sunday, Lorrha face Shannon Rovers Gaels in the second round, time to be confirmed

Sponsorship: At the U21 game, the team wore out new changed strip (all while) jerseys which were generously sponsored by our own David Broderick of Broderick Sports Therapy. Any supporters or members who require some kind of physiotherapy we would ask you to support David.

Under 6 & 8: Training recommences in the Sports Hall this Friday night from 7 to 8pm.

Under 10: Training will recommence on Friday, 27th February from 8-9pm in the Sports Hall.

Membership: for 2015 is now due. Rates were also confirmed with all inclusive of Gym membership: €90 – Adult player; €50 – Minor/College student; €30 – Non-playing Adult (+€70 extra for gym membership for 12 months); €20 – Juvenile (16 and under); €90 – Family (2 adults and 2 children, capped at €100 for three or more children).

Closing date for membership for all adult and juvenile players is the last day of February to be insured in training and games while the closing date for all membership is 31st March. This date will be strictly enforced and no monies will be accepted beyond this date. It is important to remember that our total number of adult members by 31st March is the number the County Board will use towards our ticket allocations for Tipperary games so it is in your interest to have membership paid by then. Registration Night: The club will have the second of its registration nights in Moatfield on Wednesday, 25th February from 8.00-9.30pm.

National Draw: Thanks to all who bought tickets through the club for the National Club Draw which takes place at GAA Congress on Saturday, 28th February. Also that evening at our Social night, we will have our own draw for those who entered the draw for a jackpot of at least €500. Funds raised from the draw will go towards the cost of the Hurling Wall which is completed at the back of the stand and is another massive addition to the facilities at our club.

Ball Wall: The ball wall at the back of the stand has been completed and we would thank all those who volunteered to put the facility in place over the last few months, particularly Joe Dolan, Graham Downes and William Harding.

Club Social Night: will take place in the Clubhouse on Saturday, 28th February from 9pm. On the night we will honour Patrick Maher for winning his All Star in 2014 while Tony Reddin will be presented with honourary membership of the club. Music by Pio Ryan and members of his traditional band. Entry is €10 or by showing you National Draw ticket receipt. All players, coaches and supporters are encouraged to attend to kickstart the playing year.

Tipperary Club Pass: Application forms are available for the 2015 Tipperary GAA Club Pass where for a fee of €120, the pass entitles holders to entry into all adult club hurling and football championship games in the county, including divisional and county games. This great value and more information can be gotten from Shane Brophy.

Tipperary Supporters Club: Membership is now open for the 2015 Tipperary Supporters Club. Membership is €30 for adults and free for junior members. Go to

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Sam O'Doherty. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. Social Dancing classes in the clubhouse every Monday night at 8pm.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA club would like to sympathise with the Nenagh Eire Og club and the Gubbins family on the tragic death of Brian Gubbins last weekend. May he rest in peace.
