Senior: The senior hurlers take on Ballingarry in the second round of the County Championship this Saturday evening, 21 July at The Ragg @ 7.00pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors.
Junior Hurling: The Juniors have one final group game to play against Knockshegowna later in the month.
Minor: Lorrha Rovers will get their minor ‘A’ hurling campaign underway against Nenagh Eire Óg in Nenagh on Thursday evening @ 7.00pm.
Under 16: The took on Shannon Rovers in Moatfield last Monday evening in their second game. Next Monday, 23rd July, Lorrha travel to take on Templederry @ 7.00pm.
Under 12: Lorrha will play either Ballinahinch or Templederry in the semi-final of the Premier 12s hurling in the coming weeks.
Tipperary: Well done to Patrick Maher on winning his third Munster senior hurling championship medal in Tipperary’s win over Waterford last Sunday. Well done also to the minor hurlers on their Munster victory and to the footballers on their win over Wexford and we wish them the best of luck against Antrim in round 3 this Saturday evening.
Best of luck to Ken Hogan (manager), William Maher, Cian Hogan and the Tipperary Under 21 team in the Munster semi-final against Limerick this evening (Wednesday).
Cúl Camp: This years Kellogg’s Cul Camp got underway on Monday morning. We trust all our young players will have an enjoyable week.
Membership Draw: At a recent club meeting we held the draw for the 2 tickets to the All Ireland Senior Hurling Final to those that paid their membership by 31st March. The lucky winner is Michaela Hogan, Ballymcegan.
First Aid and Defibrillator Training: Anyone interested in taking part in this training course is to contact Shane Brophy (0876989612).
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of PJ Murrihy. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
Parish Golf Outing: The 2012 Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takes place in Portumna Golf Club on Saturday, 18th August. Timesheet is from 9.30pm to 12 noon and you can book your slot by contacting Tony Coen (090-9747972) or this years Captain Aidan McIntyre (090-9747016). Seamus Mannion is this years President.
