Lorrha GAA News for 21 July

Intermediate: Lorrha’s game with Shannon Rovers was postponed at the weekend and no re-fixture has been confirmed.

Junior: Our second game in the championship takes place on Saturday next in Cloughjordan when we take on Roscrea. The match will throw in at 2pm.

Minor: Lorrha fell to Nenagh in the second round of the Minor championship at a very wet Moatfield on Friday evening last. A big crowd came expecting a tight game and that’s just what was served up with the sides going in level at four points apiece at half time. Nenagh had forged two points ahead when they struck for a goal with nine minutes remaining to kill off the game and they went onto win by 1-9 to 0-6.

Next game v Kildangan in Puckane on Wednesday (tonight) at 7.30pm.

Under 16: Our Under 16’s put in a brave performance against a very good Roscrea side in Moatfield on Monday week last with the visitors prevailing by 4-8 to 1-8.
Lorrha took on Newport Gaels on Monday night but found the home side too strong and fell by 4-11 to 0-8.
Lorrha take on Kilruane MacDonaghs in round 5 in Moatfield on Monday evening next at 7.30pm.

Under 14: Lorrha lost their unbeaten record in the championship when Borris-Ileigh recorded a comfortable win in Moatfield on Wednesday night last on a scoreline of 4-6 to 0-7.
Next game v Silvermines in Dolla on Wednesday (tonight) at 7.30pm.

Tickets: Tickets for this Sundays All Ireland Quarter Final between Tipperary and Wexford will be distributed to club members on Thursday evening in the GAA Clubhouse at 9.30pm.

Summer Camp: This years Lorrha VHI Cul Camp gets underway in Moatfield on Monday morning next at 10am. Parents are reminded that all kids should be there at 9.50am each morning and all should have helmets and wet gear should the weather remain as poor as it is.
