November 8, 2018

Tipperary Clubs Draw: The 2011-2012 draw start date has been deferred to Friday, 3 June. The Draw is €100 for the year or €10 per month with 12×20 monthly prizes ranging from €200 up to €30,000 or a car. Your support is greatly appreciated. Anyone still wishing to join can contact Draw Co-ordinator Margaret Gleeson.

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €9,400. Thank you for your continued support.

Official Opening: The official opening of new GAA Centre will take place on this Sunday evening, 22 May. Tony Reddin will perform the official opening at 6.15pm with the new facility open to the public to view. The opening will be marked by a match between the Tipperary and Galway Under 21 hurlers at 7.00pm. Admission to the match is €5 for all adults while Under 18’s are free.

Ground Clean-Up: Thanks to all who helped out last Saturday at our grounds clean-up. However, there are still final touches to be done and we will be re-gathering at the Clubhouse next Saturday morning between 10am and 1pm. More hands are required to have the premises in great shape for Sunday.

Senior: Lorrha made the difficult decision of having to concede to Toomevara ahead of last Sunday’s North Senior Championship game. An injury crisis saw five players unable to play leaving just 14 fit players for the game. As we were already eliminated, some junior players would have had to play but they would have lost their grading for the rest of the year.
Next weekend sees the resumption of the County League where we travel to Cappawhite to take on the home side on Saturday at 7.00pm

Junior: The Junior’s have been drawn in a group with Knockshegowna, Toomevara, Roscrea, Kildangan and Kilruane MacDonaghs in the championship. Knockshe are our opponents in round 1 on weekend of 10-12 June.

Minor Football: The minor footballers were eliminated from the championship following a 2-6 to 2-4 defeat to Nenagh Éire Óg in Moatfield last Tuesday.

Minor Hurling: Lorrha will take on Nenagh Éire Óg in the first round of the ‘A’ championship in late June. Also in group are Toomevara, Roscrea and Kilruane MacDonaghs.

U16: Well done to the U16’s who defeated Ballina ‘B’ in the North ‘C’ final last Monday. See Match Report.

U14: The U14’s were defeated by Templederry in the first round of the hurling championship in Moatfield last week. Next up is Silvermines at Dolla on Wednesday (this evening) at 7.00pm.

Premier 12’s: Well done to the U12’s who performed very well in the football finals blitz recently in Borrisokane. They lost narrowly to Burgess in the semi-final but did win the Plate final defeating Ballinahinch.

Under 8: Training in Moatfield on Friday’s from 7-8pm.
