Lorrha GAA News for 23 August

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €6,000. Senior: Lorrha are awaiting the draw for the last 16 of the County Championship. This game will be played after the divisional championships have been completed and with Tipperary now in the All Ireland final, will be played in mid September at the earliest and could be a mid-week game..

Junior Hurling: Lorrha's final group game is against Kildangan with plenty still to play for with top spot in the group up for grabs. The game is likely to be played weekending 29-30 August.

Minor: The Minor hurlers lost 3-17 to 2-12 to Burgess in their latest game in the championship in Cloughjordan last Thursday. Our final match against Borrisokane due to take place in Ballingarry this evening (Wednesday) at 6.30pm.

Tipperary: Well done to Patrick Maher, Ken Hogan and the Tipperary senior hurling team in this Sunday's All Ireland semi-final against Cork at Croke Park. Time to everyone to get the blue and gold out ahead of the All Ireland final against Kilkenny on Sunday, 7th September.

All Ireland Final Tickets: will be drawn for among fully paid up club members only in the GAA Clubhouse on Monday, 1st September at 9pm. More details on prices next week.

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Shandy. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. There are also Social Dancing classes each Wednesday night in the GAA Centre from 8-11pm for both beginners and those looking to improve.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Guinan and Murray families on the death of Mai Guinan, Ballymcegan who died over the weekend. May she rest in peace.
