Lorrha GAA News for 23 June

Senior: Lorrha were defeated 3-18 to 1-16 by Kilruane MacDonaghs in round 4 of the County League in Cloughjordan last Wednesday. The defeat means we are out of the hunt for the knockout stages but have maintained our division 2 status for 2019 going into our final group game against JK Brackens in Moatfield next Sunday, 24th June at 12 noon, as preparations turn to the return of the Seamus O Riain Cup, likely to be in late July.

Junior: Lorrha were back in action again last Tuesday when they took on Silvermines in round 2 of the championship and suffered a disappointing 2-19 to 0-10 defeat. In round 3, Lorrha host Nenagh Eire Og on Sunday 1st July at 7.00pm, needing a win to stay in the hunt.

Minor: Lorrha Rovers Gaels return to championship action against Toomevara on Friday 29th June. Time and venue to be confirmed.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels Under 16 'A' Hurling campaign begins on Monday 9th July, away to Nenagh Eire Og at 7.00pm

Under 14: The North Under 14 'B' Hurling Championship got underway against Newport in Moatfield last Thursday with Lorrha falling to a 5-12 to 5-6 loss in an exciting game . On Tuesday 19th June, they played Kiladangan in Puckane and drew 2-10 to 3-7. Lorrha's next game is not until Wednesday 18th July when they play Kilruane MacDonaghs.

Under 12: The 'A' hurlers game against Ballina last Friday was postponed and will be rearranged. Next Friday, 22nd June, Lorrha host Nenagh Eire Og in Moatfield and on Monday 25th June, welcome Toomevara to Moatfield. Both games at 7.30pm.

Cul Camp: This years Kellogg's Cul Camp in Lorrha takes place from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th July. Registration only online at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. Cost is €60 for 1st child; €50 for 2nd child; €40 for 3rd and subsequent children.

Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: The club had no winner in the June draw held in Ballinahinch last Friday night. Thanks to all who joined this year and best of luck in the next draw.

Tipperary: Best of luck to the Tipperary senior footballers and under 21 hurlers in their big championship games against Mayo and Limerick in the coming days.
