Lorrha GAA News for 23 May

5-Year Plan: Thank you everyone who participated in our second Development Plan meeting last Wednesday night. It was very constructive with plenty of progress made. If you would still like to submit some ideas, you can email the to: secretary.lorrhaanddorrha.tipperary@gaa.ie. This information will be then forwarded to Ger O'Meara who will put the plan together and we would like to thank Ger for taking up this role.

Lotto: The numbers drawn last week were: 6 – 8 – 11 – 14. No Winner.

Lucky Dips: Orla Kennedy, Nora Brereton, Sharon Moylan, Jack Houlihan, St Ruadhan's Active Retirement Association. Promoters: Kitty Kennedy, Liam Reddish, Shane Brophy.

Senior: Lorrha face Killenaule in their rearranged county championship game on Saturday, 23rd May in Templemore at 7.30pm with the winner progressing to the knockout stages, along with Eire Og Annacarty.

In the North Championship, Lorrha will play Borris-Ileigh in the second round in Cloughjordan on Sunday, 31st May at 7pm.

Junior Hurling: The Junior 'B' hurlers are through to the North League semi-final following a 0-16 to 0-12 win over Borris-Ileigh in Moatfield on Sunday. Our semi-final opponents aren't yet known with the semi-final likely to be played on weekend 6-7 June.

Minor Hurling: Lorrha will begin their Minor 'B' Hurling Championship campaign against Ballina on Thursday, 25th July. Lorrha will also have games against Templederry, Borrisokane, Shannon Rovers Gaels, Moneygall/Clonakenny and Silvermines

Under 14: Lorrha/Shannon Rovers defeated Nenagh Eire Og, 2-8 to 0-4 in a North semi-final playoff last Wednesday. This Friday, they take on Kilruane MacDonaghs in the semi-final in Cloughjordan at 7pm

Under 12: Well done to the U12 Footballers who defeated Ballina, 2-5 to 0-3 in the final in Portroe last Tuesday evening, retaining their title. On Monday evening, they took on Clonmel Commercials in the county semi-final in Holycross but lost 3-9 to 1-0.

Tipperary Clubs Draw: The start of the 2015/2016 Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw to Friday, 5th June. For just €100, you will be entered into 12 monthly draws with 2 cars as top prizes each month with over €9000 in other prizes each month. There are also 33 weekly lotto draws for a guaranteed jackpot of €1000. €50 from each ticket stays with Lorrha GAA Club. Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Ciaran Rosney. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Blood Drive: The Irish Blood Transfusion Service return to Moatfield on Tuesday, 26th May from 3-5pm and 7-9.30pm.
