Social Night & Car Draw: Our Fundraising Car Draw and Social Night was deferred from St Patrick’s Day and will now go ahead on Easter Sunday night, 8th April in the GAA Clubhouse. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank everyone that has made the draw a great success so far.
Top prize is a Volkswagon Polo (kindly supplied by Al Hayes Motors, Portumna) with second and third prizes of 42” and 28” Flat Screen TV’s. There will also be a 28” Flat Screen TV for the seller of the winning ticket for the car. The Promoter that sells the most tickets will get €150 and voucher for The Thatch Cottage, Ballycommon.
Tickets are €20 each or three for €50. Tickets can be bought from any committee member or can be bought on online on our club page on www.locallotto.ie.

Membership: Closing date is Saturday, March 31st. All are to sign-up before this as it will count towards our Tipperary ticket allocation, and all those that sign up before the end of March will be entered into a draw for 2 Stand Tickets to the All Ireland Hurling Final. Adult Player – €50; Non-Playing Adult – €30; Students & Minors – €20; Juveniles (16 & under) – €15; Family Membership (2 Adults & 2 Juveniles) – €80. Each additional child is €10 each. All players must have their membership paid before leagues begins. Membership is payable to registrar Tadhg Nevin or online on our club page on www.locallotto.ie

Lotto: Our jackpot new stands at €16,000. Thank you for your continued support. You can also play our lotto online at www.myclubfinances.com where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

Senior: Our first senior league game against Cappawhite was postponed on Monday. Next up is a home game against Kilruane MacDonaghs this Sunday in Moatfield @ 2.30pm

Junior: The Junior ‘A’ hurling league begins at home to Moneygall on the weekend after next.

Under 16: The U16’s lost narrowly 4-5 to 3-6 at home to Templederry on Sunday last. The team has a bye this weekend.

Under 14: The U14’s begin their football campaign against Shannon Rovers in Ballinderry on Wednesday, 28th March @ 6.30pm.

Under 12: The U12’s begin their football campaign away to Portroe, this Friday 23rd March @ 6.30pm.

Under 8: Training continues on Friday in the Sports Hall, Moatfield @ 6.45pm. Children must wear runners, shinguards and helmets.

Hard Luck: to Ken Hogan and the Coolderry team in the All Ireland Club final on St. Patrick’s Day. Commsierations also to Aaron Hogan, Eoin McIntyre and the Portumna Community School team in the All Ireland Colleges semi-final last Saturday.

Easter Camp: Lorrha GAA Club will be holding an three-day Easter GAA Camp for 5-12 year olds, starting on the afternoon of Thursday 10th April and finishing on Saturday 12th April. Cost of the camp is €20 per child.

Cúl Camp: This years Kelloggs Cul Camp will be held in Moatfield between 16-20 July. More details to follow.

Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilties which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of J&S Sound. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Hough family in the death of Mai Hough, Annagh, who died over the weekend. May she rest in peace.
