Clothes Collection: Thanks to everyone who supported our Clothes Collection fundraiser for the Juvenile Club over the last two weekends.
Juvenile Training: Under 6 & U8 starts on Friday, February 1st from 7 to 8pm in the Sports Hall; Under 10 & 12 training continues every Tuesday from 7 to 8pm in Moatfield; Under 14 and U16 training on Friday at 7.00pm. All juveniles must wear a gumshield playing Gaelic football at training or in a match from now on.
Referee’s Training Course: A Foundation course for new referees will take place in the Sarsfields Centre, Thurles over four nights on 13/18/20/25 February. All Courses will have a 7:30pm start sharp. Anyone interested in undertaking the course must get a signed application form from club secretary Shane Brophy.
Membership: Membership for 2013 is now due with rates unchanged. All are encouraged to sign-up before the closing date of 31st March as it will count towards our Tipperary ticket allocation later in the year. All those that sign up by the deadline will be entered into a draw for 2 Stand Tickets to the All Ireland Hurling Final. Adult Player – €50; Non-Playing Adult – €30; Students & Minors – €20; Juveniles (16 & under) – €15; Family Membership (2 Adults & 2 Juveniles) – €80. Each additional child is €10 each. Membership is payable to Registrar Louise Mannion, Curraghagloss, Lorrha, Nenagh or can also be paid online on our club page on myclubfinances.com.
Gym Membership: Gym Membership for 2013 is now available. (All rates are inclusive of club membership rates above) Adult Players – €150 (€50+€100); Non-Playing member – €150 (€30+€120); Student – €100 (€20+€80); Family (2+2) – €200 (€80+€120); Non club member – €150. Individual rates are €3 per session for club members and €5 per session for non members. For example if a non member pays by the session, once they have paid for 30 sessions, they are free to use it for the rest of the year, 33 sessions for players and 26 for students. Tipperary Clubs Draw: With the 2012-2013 draw half way through, we are asking all promoters to bring their monies up to date and forward to draw coordinator Margaret Gleeson.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities, which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
The Gathering 2013: Lorrha & Dorrha Heritage Week will take place in the parish between Wednesday, 19th and Monday, 24th June, as the Lorrha communities effort for The Gathering 2013. Another meeting takes place in the GAA Centre next Monday night at 8pm.
Circuit Training: continues in the Clubhouse every Monday and Wednesday evenings. For more information contact Noel Hogan 0876176472.
Sean Nós Dancing: continues every Wednesday evening from 7-8pm for children and 8.30 to 9.30pm for adult.
Gymnastics: continues every Tuesday and Thursday from 5-8pm and Saturdays from 11-2pm.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Catherine & Images. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. Admission is €8, refreshments served.
Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Haugh family on the death of Mary Sweeney, Ballinaslow who died recently. May she rest in peace.
