Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €5,250. Senior: Our crucial County Championship game against JK Brackens has a provisional date of the August Bank Holiday weekend or midweek, 6 August, depending on the outcome of this weekends games for the Tipperary senior hurlers and footballers.

Junior Hurling: Lorrha made it two wins from two in the championship with a 2-14 to 0-8 win over Borris-IIeigh in Cloughjordan on Saturday evening. Played in heavy rain, credit to both sides for a competitive game with Christopher Fogarty getting both goals. Our next game is against Toomevara.

The League final against Kildangan has been deferred until later in the month.

Junior Football: The Junior Football Championship could begin in the next couple of weeks. Check North Bord fixtures for details.

Minor: The Minor hurlers lost 5-19 to 1-18 to Templederry in round 3 of the championship last Thursday in Nenagh. Lorrha face Silvermines in round 4 in Cloughjordan this Thursday, 24th July at 7pm

Under 16: Michael Dolan, Tomas Kennedy, Leon Houlihan and David Sullivan are on the Shannon Rovers Gaels team which lost to Moneygall in their third of the championship last Monday week. Last Monday they played Silvermines; news next week.

Under 12: Well done to the U12's who beat Borris-IIeigh in the North 'B' semi-final last Friday in Moatfield to progress to the North Final where they will play Silvermines in Toomevara this Saturday, 26th July at 1.30pm. Lorrha have been improving with each game and ahead of this Saturday's final, we urge a big support to follow the team. Check North Coiste na nOg news for final details.

Tipperary: Best of luck to Patrick Maher and the Tipperary senior hurlers in their All Ireland quarter final against Dublin in Thurles this Sunday. Also best of luck to the Tipperary senior footballers in their round 4 qualifier against Galway in Tullamore on Saturday evening. Anyone looking for tickets for both games must go through local Centra and SuperValu stores or also online as the deadline for club orders has passed.

Hard luck to Brian Hogan and the Tipperary U21 hurlers on their Munster semi-final defeat to Clare last Wednesday.

Cul Camp: Well done to all 73 children who took part in this years Kelloggs Cul Camp which took place in Moatfield last week. Thanks to North Tipp GDA David Needham for coordinating while Brian Hogan was also one of the coaches.

Parish Golf Outing: The Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takes place in Portumna Golf Club on Saturday, 16th August with tee-times from 8.30am to 12pm. This years captain is Vincent Liffey while the President is Joe Morris. To book a tee time contact Vincent Liffey (0873328577) or Tony Coen (0876219639).

Day at the Galway Races: Tipperary County Board have organised a Day at the Races fundraiser in Galway on Monday, 28th July. For more details contact County Board office on 0504-22702

Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Peter Burke. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. There are also Social Dancing classes each Wednesday night in the GAA Centre from 8-11pm for both beginners and those looking to improve.
