Lorrha GAA news for 26 March

Membership: There will be a registration night in Moatfield on this Saturday, 26 March from 8pm to 9.30pm. Closing date for membership is 31 March and all are urged to do so by then as figures collected on this date will count towards our allocation of Tipperary tickets later in the year.
€40 – Adult Players; €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry).

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €8,050. Thank you for your continued support. Next Monday’s draw (28 March) will see the work groups revert to Team 1. You can also play our lotto online at www.myclubfinances.com where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

Senior: The seniors proposed game with Knockavilla Kickhams has been postponed.

U21 Hurling: The Under 21’s went down narrowly, 2-10 to 1-12 to Kildangan in the first round of the championship on St. Patrick’s Day in Borrisokane. Lorrha had their chances to win the game in what was a tight compeitive affair. Lorrha now go into the losers group which will get underway in the next few weeks.

Junior: The juniors get their league campaign underway against Borris-Ileigh in Borrisoleigh on Sunday next, 27 March at 5.30pm.

Minor: The football championship begins next Thursday, 31 March in Moatfield against Nenagh Éire Óg @ 6pm.

U16: The U16’s were defeated by Toomevara in the first round of the championship on Sunday last. Lorrha’s next game is against Borrisokane in Moatfield this weekend. Check Bord na nOg fixtures for details. Training on Wednesday nights in Moatfield from 7-8pm. All players to attend.

U14: Training continues on Friday evenings from 6-7pm. The U14 football championship begins next Wednesday evening, March 30th against Burgess in Moatfield @ 6pm.

Schools: Hard luck to Daniel Smith and Jamie Lewis who started for Banagher Colleges in their All Ireland semi-final to St. Raphael’s from Loughrea last Saturday.

Indoor Hurling: for Under 8’s continues in Lorrha Hall on Friday evening from 7- 8pm. U10 & 12 training in Lorrha Hall on Fridays from 6-7pm and on Tuesdays from 7.30 8.30pm.

Tipperary Clubs Draw: The final draw of the 2010-2011 Tipperary Clubs draw took place on Friday last. All coordinators are asked to collect all outstanding money for the draw before registering members for the 2011-2012 draw which will begin in May.

Photo Gallery: Further to the ongoing development of the new clubhouse facilities, the committee are looking at setting up of photo gallery of current and past Lorrha teams and Lorrha players who played with Tipperary over the years.
We ask that anyone who would have photos in their family photo albums relating to above would wish to share with the club. The club will make a copy of your submitted photo and return original to you.

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night in our newly extended function room to the music of Kieran White. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
