Senior: The senior hurlers face Borrisokane in Cloughjordan this Sunday @ 4.30pm in their final group game in the North Championship. A win for Lorrha would see them into a playoff against the third placed team in Group 1. Best of luck to the players and mentors, all support would be appreciated.
Junior Hurling: The Junior hurlers enjoyed a 1-15 to 3-6 win over Moneygall in Moneygall last Saturday evening in the league. Lorrha’s next game will be at home to Burgess on the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Minor Football: The Minor Footballers game with Portroe was called off last week and has been refixed for this Friday, 26th April in Moatfield at 7.00pm
Under 16: Last Monday week, Lorrha received a walkover from Templederry. Last Monday, Lorrha were due to have taken on Borris-Ileigh but were also awarded a walkover.
Under 12: Well done to the U12’s who made it three wins from three with an impressive 5-6 to 2-3 win over Borris-Ileigh in Moatfield last Friday. Lorrha’s next game is away to Moneygall this Friday at 6.30pm.
County Scene: Well done to Patrick Maher on his goalscoring performance in Tipperary’s Allianz Hurling League semi-final win over Dublin last Sunday.
Tipperary Clubs Draw: Well done to Sheila Carroll who won €200 in the weekly Tipperary GAA Draw last Friday. That draw was the final one of the 2012-2013 County Board Draw. We would like to thank all those for subscribing and we ask all promoters to bring their monies up to date and forward them to draw coordinator Margaret Gleeson in advance of the new draw which the club will begin promoting in the coming weeks.
Gym Membership: (All rates are inclusive of club membership rates above) Adult Players – €150 (€50+€100); Non-Playing member – €150 (€30+€120); Student – €100 (€20+€80); Family (2+2) – €200 (€80+€120); Non club member – €150. The Gathering: The Club will be hold a Gathering in the GAA Centre on Friday, 21st June as part of the Lorrha & Dorrha Heritage Festival. We will be holding a reunion of the 1983 Lorrha Intermediate Football and Under 21 hurlers, 1993 Minor hurlers and 2003 Junior ‘B’ hurlers, all of whom won North titles in those years. More details in the coming weeks but keep the date free.
Sports Hall or Function Room: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities, which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Circuit Training: for ladies continues in the Clubhouse every Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm, plus there is a special class for Men only on Wednesday’s from 8pm. For more information contact Noel Hogan 0876176472.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Sam Doherty. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. Admission €8 with refreshments served.
