Lotto:Our jackpot has reached arecord high of €20,000. The jackpot cannot go any higher so it will remain at€20,000 until it is won. If it rolls over, the new jackpot will be rising by€150 per week.

Thanks to everyone whois supporting our lotto, which is the clubs main source of fundraising. Withthe jackpot currently high, the number of players is growing by the week,particularly online on www.locallotto.iewhere it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.  

 

Senior: Theseniors O’Riain Cup Quarter Final against Nenagh Éire Óg has been deferreduntil after the Under 21 All Ireland Final.

 

U21: The U21‘A’ semi-final against Kilruane MacDonagh’s has been deferred to a later date.

 

Minor Hurling: The minors lost their final group to Portroe in Moatfield lastThursday on a 5-15 to 4-10 scoreline. Despite the defeat, Lorrha are through tothe semi-finals and await their opponents. Semi-Final likely to be played onWednesday, 7 September.

 

Minor Football: Lorrha went down to Portroe on a 2-8 to 2-2 scoreline in the replayof the minor football semi-final in Ballinderry on Sunday evening.

 

U16: TheUnder 16’s were drawn against Nenagh Éire Óg on the ‘A’ semi-final. This gamewill take place on Friday, 3 September. Venue and time to be confirmed.

 

Inter-county: Well done to Patrick Maher, Ciaran Haugh, Ken Hogan and theTipperary Under 21 team following their All Ireland Under 21 semi-final winover Antrim on Saturday. 

 

All Ireland Tickets: Tickets for the All Ireland Hurling Final on 5 September will beissued to fully paid up club members only. A draw will take place on Wednesday,1 September in the Clubhouse at 9pm sharp. 

 

Tipperary Training Fund Draw: Tickets are on sale for the Tipperary Training Fund Draw. Top prizeis a Weekend in Dublin-2 matchtickets Tipp V Kilkenny, 2 nights stay over in the Burlington. Limo from hotelto Croke Park and 2 tickets to after match banquet plus travel on team holidayat the end of the year. 2nd Prize: 2 tickets for 2010 All Ireland SeniorHurling final plus 2 tickets for all Tipperary Senior Hurling Munster & AllIreland Championship games in 2011; 3rd Prize to 10th Prize: 2 tickets for 2010All Ireland Senior Hurling Final. Tickets are €20 each or a book of 6 for €100 andcan be bought from Shane Brophy and Kevin Hough.

Parish GolfOuting: This years Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takesplace in Portumna Golf Club on this Saturday, 28 August. Time-sheet is from 9amto 1pm and can be booked by contacting Tony Coen (087-6219639) or EugeneKennedy (086-1740300). 

 

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of BrianMcDermott. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

 

Sympathy: LorrhaGAA Club would like to sympathise with the family and friends of PhelimO’Doherty, Lorrha who died over the weekend. May he rest in peace.
