Lorrha GAA News for 3 May

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €15,000. If our jackpot is not won, it will be capped at €15,000 with the roll over going onto the new jackpot which will start at €3,600. Senior: Our senior hurlers made it two wins from two with a 3-18 to 2-15 win over Knockavilla Kickhams in the championship on Saturday in Borrisoleigh. The win sets up a winner takes all final game with JK Brackens to progress to the last 16 and also jump to Roinn 1 for 2015. However before then, our attention turns to the first round of the North Championship when we face Burgess on weekend 10-11 May.

Junior: A slow start from the Juniors proved costly as they lost 4-17 to 2-18 to Portroe in our second league game in Portroe on Sunday afternoon. Lorrha's next game is against Kildangan in Moatfield on Monday next, 5th May at 3pm

Under 21 Football: Your support is appreciated once again in Borrisoleigh this Saturday evening as our U21 footballers go for county glory in the 'B' final against Cahir. Throw-in is at 6.45pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors.

Minor Football: The minor footballers rounded off their campaign with a5-7 to 2-4 defeat to Silvermines in Dolla last Thursday evening. Attention now turns to the hurling championship which gets underway in late June.

Under 14: Lorrha received a walkover from Moneygall/Templederry in their latest game in the 'B' Football Championship last week. Their final group game against Ballina has been cancelled.

Under 12: Well done to the U12's who are through to the North 'C' final following a 7-5 to 2-6 win over Moneygall in Moatfield last Friday. Lorrha will play Burgess in the final on Friday, 9th May. More details next week.

Tipperary: Best of luck to Brian Hogan and the Tipperary minor hurlers in their Munster Championship playoff against Clare in Ennis this evening (Wednesday).

Best of luck also to Patrick Maher and the Tipperary senior hurling team against Kilkenny in this Sunday's Allianz National Hurling League final at Semple Stadium, Thurles.

Easter Camp: Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: We ask all promoters to finalise their accounts as the 2013/2014 Draw has come to an end and the new draw will be starting soon.

Social Dancing: resumes on Friday, 25th April to the music of Glynn Flynn. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Thanks: The club would like to sincerely thank Martin Young for his work in erecting the ball-catchers which were damaged by the Christmas storms. All three ball-catchers on the main and road field are now in working order again.
