Under 21: The U21s will play the winner of Borris-Ileigh or Nenagh Eire Óg in the losers group section. The winner will then play Kilruane MacDonaghs in the ‘A’ semi-final.
Thomas MacDonaghs: Lorrha GAA would like to wish Thomas MacDonaghs the best of luck in this Sunday’s County Senior Football Final against Clonmel Commercials in Semple Stadium. MacDonaghs defeated Eire Og Annacarty and Killenaule over the Bank Holiday Weekend to reach the final for the second year in a row. The team of which Lorrha is a member are just one win away from defending their title, of which Kevin Maher was apart of in 2011. The game starts at 2.30pm and support would be appreciated.
Shinty: Well done to Patrick Maher who played a starring role over the last two weekends as Ireland defeated Scotland in the Shinty International in both Inverness and Ennis
Auction: The annual Auction will take place on Sunday, 16th December. Anyone that can offer a tree can contact Shane Brophy (087-6989612). We will also have having indoor stalls and anyone who would like to book a stall can contact Sean Mannion (087-3643031).
AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club will take place on Wednesday, 19th December at 8.00pm. More details to follow.
Scór na nÓg: The North Finals of Scór na nÓg will be held in Silvermines on Friday, 23rd November. Anyone interested in taking part in Figure dancing, Set Dancing, Ballad Group, Recitation, Solo Song, Instrumental Music, Question Time and Novelty Act should contact Shane Brophy. Age limit for Scor na nÓg is Under 17 by January 1st 2013.
Tipperary Clubs Draw: With the 2012-2013 draw now almost half way through, we are asking all promoters to bring their monies up to date and forward to draw coordinator Margaret Gleeson.
First Aid and Defibrillator Training: The club will be organizing a course following healthy expressions of interest. We are currently looking at dates in October to hold the course.
Tony Hogan Fund: A Benefit Night for Tony Hogan will take place in the Clubhouse on St Stephen’s Night. It will end a day of events which will include a 7’s hurling tournament earlier in the day. Envelopes will be delivered to each house in the parish in the coming weeks whereby people can donate any amount they wish to the fund and deliver the envelopes to collection points throughout the parish. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Gym: The club are now issuing key-fobs for those that wish to use the gym on a regular basis. Gym membership up to the end of February 2013 is €42 for GAA club members and €60 for non-members. For more information contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Circuit Training: continues in the Clubhouse every Monday and Wednesday evenings. For more information contact Noel Hogan 0876176472.
Irish Dancing Classes: Sean-Nós, Steps for Sets & Two Hand Dancing Classes continue every Wednesday evening from 7-8pm for children and 8.30-9.30pm for adults. For more information contact Donie Morrissey on 087-9347968.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of PJ Murrihy. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
