Lorrha GAA News for 3 September

EGM: An Extraordinary General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club has been deferred by one week to Saturday, 20 Sepetmber at 8.45pm. The sole item on the agenda will be the proposed developments at the Clubhouse.

Junior: Our Juniors take on Toomevara in the semi-final of the championship. This game takes place on Sunday in Cloughjordan at 6.30pm. Good Luck to the players and mentors.

Minor: Our Minor hurlers exited the championship on Tuesday evening last when a late Newport goal saw them win through by 2-9 to 1-9. Missing the services of Ciaran Haugh proved too much to overcome. Thanks to all the players and management for their efforts and hopefully they will have more success when the football semi-final against Borris-Ileigh comes up next week.

U16: The Under 16’s will take on Borris-Ileigh in the North Final. The game is provisionally fixed for Monday, 8 September.

U14: Lorrha will take on Moneygall in the North semi-final this Friday in Nenagh at 6.15pm.

Jerseys: There are a small number of jerseys in some sizes still available by contacting the club secretary.

Tipperary: Hard Luck also to Philip Hogan who was on the Tipperary U14 squad that were defeated at the semi-final stage of the Tony Forrestal Under 14 tournament by eventual winners Cork.

Lotto: The numbers drawn on 26 August were: 19 – 20 – 21 – 27. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Ester & Lee; Mrs. K Kennedy; John Moylan, Tom Kennedy (Lisballyard) and Fiona Daly. The Winning Promoters were: Mark Carroll, Geraldine O’Meara and James Dunne.

All lotto draws will now take place in the GAA Clubhouse. The draw will take place 9.30pm and all are welcome to attend. We would like to thank at the public houses in the parish for their hospitality since the lotto began and thank them for continuing to promote the draws in their establishments.

Old Time Dancing: Our Old Time Dancing continues in the GAA Clubhouse on Friday night to the music of Denis Doyle. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
