Junior: Lorrha 0-13 Silvermines 0-10
Last week was a busy week for the junior team. On Monday, we played Toomevara in our final group game and despite playing well, we lost out by 3-13 to 0-16. That defeat meant that we played Silvermines in the quarter finals and that game took place in Cloughjordan on Saturday evening.
In miserable conditions, they team brought their form through and played very well in the first half to take a ten points to five half time lead. Against the breeze in the second half, the team showed great character as Silvermines fought back and we hung on for a great victory.
We now play Toomevara or Moneygall in the semi-final on the weekend after next.

U/21: Borris-Ileigh’s defeat on Sunday evening means Lorrha are through to the North semi-final where we will meet Templederry. This game will take place in September.

Minor: The minor hurlers played Newport Gaels in the quarter final on Tuesday evening and lost out by 2-9 to 1-9 after leading for most of the hour. The minors are still in the football championship and will have a semi-final against Borris-Ileigh in the coming weeks.

U14 & U16: Both teams are preparing for important semi-finals and finals respectively over the coming weeks. Fixture news next week.
