Lorrha GAA News for 30 June

Senior: Lorrha were due to take JK Brackens in Moatfield last Sunday in their final game of the County League, however the Mid club were disappointingly unable to field a team. Lorrha finished the group in third place and retained their division 2 status.

Preparations turn to the return of the Seamus O Riain Cup against Holycross/Ballycahill, likely to be in August.

Junior: In round 3 of the North Junior 'B' Hurling Championship, Lorrha host Nenagh Eire Og on Sunday 1st July at 7.00pm, needing a win to stay in the hunt for the knockout stages.

Minor: Lorrha Rovers Gaels return to hurling championship action against Toomevara on Thursday 5th July in Cloughjordan at 7.30pm.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels Under 16 'A' Hurling campaign begins on Monday 9th July, away to Nenagh Eire Og at 7.00pm

Under 14: On Tuesday 19th June last, in round 2, the U14's played Kiladangan in Puckane and drew 2-10 to 3-7. Lorrha's next game is not until Wednesday 18th July when they play Kilruane MacDonaghs.

Under 12: The Under 12 hurlers secured their first win of the championship last Friday with a superb 2-6 to 3-2 win over Nenagh Eire Og in Moatfield. Last Monday, Lorrha also hosted Toomevara and recorded a fine 4-10 to 0-4 win. Next Friday 29th June, Lorrha face Ballina in Ballina at 7.30pm, and next Monday 2nd July, Lorrha travel to Roscrea to face the home side at 7.00pm

Cul Camp: The Kellogg's Cul Camp in Lorrha takes place from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th July. Registration only online at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. Cost is €60 for 1st child; €50 for 2nd child; €40 for 3rd and subsequent children. We ask all registrations to be completed as soon as possible to ensure all gear is there for the kids on the first morning.

Tipperary: Best of luck to the Tipperary minor hurlers in the Munster final against Limerick next Sunday.
