Lorrha GAA News for 30 May

November 8, 2018

5-Year Plan: If you would still like to submit some ideas for the 5-Year Plan, you can email them to: secretary.lorrhaanddorrha.tipperary@gaa.ie. This information will be then forwarded to Ger O'Meara who will put the plan together and we would like to thank Ger for taking up this role.

Lotto: Our jackpot is now €3,900. Thank you for your continued support. You can play our lotto online at www.locallotto.ie where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.

Senior: The senior hurlers fought bravely but came up short against Killenaule in a compelling County Championship game in Templemore on Saturday evening on a 1-23 to 2-16 scoreline.

The result sees us finish third in the group, missing out on automatic qualification for the last 16 but still retaining our Roinn 1 status for 2016. We could still make the last 16 if Killenaule or Eire Og Annacarty win their respective divisional championships or if we win the North Championship and the next step in that aim will come this Sunday, 31st May in Cloughjordan at 7pm when we face Borris-Ileigh. All support would be appreciated.

Junior Hurling: The Junior 'B' hurlers are through to the North League semi-final which is likely to be played on 6-7 June.

Under 14: Hard luck to the Lorrha/Shannon Rovers Gaels who lost 6-4 to 2-14 to Kilruane MacDonaghs in a thrilling North U14 'A' Football semi-final in Cloughjordan last Friday evening.

Attention now quickly shifts to the hurling championship which gets underway on Wednesday, 3rd June.

Under 12: Hard luck to the U12's who lost to Clonmel Commercials in the county semi-final in Holycross, 3-9 to 1-0 on Monday week last. Well done to the team and mentors on winning the North title.

Tipperary Clubs Draw: The start of the 2015/2016 Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw has been put back to Friday, 5th June. Tickets are €100 or can be paid in montly, bi-monthly or half yearly instalments.
