Poker Classic: Lorrha GAA are hosting a Poker Classic in theFriars Tavern, Lorrha on Friday, 19 November. Entry is €20 with guaranteedprize-money of €1000. Tickets costing €10 can also be bought from players whichcan be used to take part and will be entered in a draw to win cash prizes onthe night.
Development: Development works in Moatfield are entering their final phase withour fine new complex set to be at the disposal of all our teams and memberscome the New Year. The fine weather has allowed almost un-impeded work,including the installation of a new sewage system which necessitated putting apipe underneath the playing pitch across the road. However, the area which wasdug up will be resurfaced and ready in time for 2011.
Vandalism: LorrhaGAA Club are disappointed that a number of our lotto signs around the parishhave been vandalised. The signs are successful in highlighting our lotto overthe last year but in recent times, most of the signs have been deliberatelydamaged. Anyone with any information should contact any committee member.
Date for your Diary: This years AGM has been fixed for Saturday, 11 December. Finalaccounts will be put together in the coming weeks so all those with outstandingfinancial issues should contact treasurer Willie Harding as soon as possible.
Referees Course: A referee’s course for potential new refereesin the County will be run in November. The exact dates are 2nd/4th/9th& 11th starting at 7.30pm in Lar na bPairce in Thurles for about 2& half hours per night. All interested should contact Kevin Hough.
Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of Pat& Ritchie. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
