Lorrha GAA News for 4 April

Senior: Lorrha 3-12 Éire Óg Annacarty 1-9
Lorrha got back to winning ways with a good win in Moatfield on Sunday morning. See League Round Up for report.
We host Upperchurch-Drombane in the final group game on Sunday next with the winner progressing to the quarter finals. Throw-in time is at 3.30pm.

Junior: Roscrea v Lorrha in Roscrea on Saturday, 4 April @ 6pm.

U21 Hurling: The Under 21’s game with Templederry will take place this Friday, 3 April in Cloughjordan @ 6.30pm.

Minor Football: Lorrha v Shannon Rovers Gaels in Moatfield on Wednesday, 8 April 2 6.30pm.

U16 Football: Lorrha will have a home game on Monday next, 6 April @ 6.30pm against Nenagh Eire Og.

U14 Hurling: Lorrha lost 3-3 to 0-1 to Toomevara in the Feile competition on Saturday. Best wishes and speedy recovery to Jonathan Bourke who suffered a broken collarbone in the game

U14 Football: U14 Championship v Borrisokane in Borrisokane on Wednesday, 3 April @ 6.30pm.

U12 Football: Shannon Rovers Gaels v Lorrha in Ballinderry on Friday, 3 April @ 6.30pm.

Schools: Hard Luck to Willie Maher and Banagher Colleges who lost their All Ireland semi-final against Col Phobail Roscrea on Sunday in Tullamore.

Lá na gClub: As part of the GAA’s 125 Celebrations, Sunday, 10 May has been designated as Lá na gClub. This day will be free of club and inter-county games with each club encouraged to host events to mark the influence of the GAA in the local community. A sub-committee will be set up at the Adjourned AGM club to organise events and all ideas are welcome.

Indoor Hurling: Indoor hurling continues in Lorrha Hall on Friday night at 7pm with Team 3 in charge.

Membership: Membership for 2009 is now available. €40 – Adult Players; €20 – Non Playing Adults; €15 – Minor/College Students and Juveniles (with match ticket entry); €10 – Juveniles (without match ticket entry). All players must have their membership paid before the start of the league and all membership is payable to club registrar Jack Maher or any committee member.

Lotto: The numbers drawn this week were: 5 – 6 – 9 – 29. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Betty & Liz, Judy Sullivan, Maureen McDermott, James & K Dunne and Ger Keeshan. The Winning Promoters were: PJ Hogan, Margaret Gleeson and Noel Hogan

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing continues on Friday night to the music of J&S Sound. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
