LORRHA GAA NOTES
FOR SATURDAY 4 JULY 2009

Golf Classic: Our Golf Classic in Birr Golf Club is getting ever closer on Friday week, 10 July. What better way to start Munster Final weekend than with a round of golf. Teams of 4 are €220 while hole sponsorships are €100 each. The Timesheet is filling up so book your ideal time by contacting Michael Liffey 087-2578370 or Tony Coen 087-6219639.

Senior: Our seniors finally got off the mark at senior level with a gutsy win over Roscrea on Sunday afternoon. The win sets us up for the Seamus O’Riain Cup which starts next month. Before then we hope to retain the League Division 2 title when we take on Moneygall in the final on this Sunday, 5 July in Borrisokane @ 2pm.

Junior: The Juniors took on Kilruane in the championship on Monday night. News next week.

Minor: The minors get their championship underway against Shannon Rovers Gaels in Ballinderry on this Friday, 3 July @ 8pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors.

U14: Lorrha were beaten by Moneygall/Ballinahinch in the third round of the championship last week. They took on Shannon Rovers Gaels in Ballinderry on Tuesday of this week. Result next week.

U12: The Under 12’s had a very good 7-8 to 7-5 win over Roscrea ‘B’ last week. This Friday, they travel to Ballinderry to take on Shannon Rovers Gaels @ 7pm.

VHI Cul Camps: The Lorrha GAA VHI Cul Camp takes place this year between 20-24 July.

Munster Final: As the Munster Final is likely to be a sell-out, only club members will get first access to tickets. Those who ordered tickets for the first two games will get priority but it will be restricted to one ticket per member unless more become available. Orders must be with Shane Brophy (086-0515324) by this Sunday. The deadline for family tickets has passed.
