Lorrha GAA News for 6 May

Senior: Lorrha went down to a 3-26 to 2-18 defeat to Holycross/Ballycahill in Templederry on Sunday evening in the first round of the County Championship. Lorrha have a bye in round 2 and will face Knockavilla Kickhams in our final game which will determine if we go into the quarter final of the O'Riain Cup or the relegation playoffs

Next Sunday 7th May, Lorrha face Templederry in the first round of the North Senior Championship in Nenagh at 2pm.

Junior: Lorrha have two games remaining against Roscrea and Burgess to reach the semi-finals.

Minor: Lorrha Rovers Gaels footballers Minor 'B' Championship match against Silvermines has been refixed for next Monday, 9th May in Moatfield at 6.45pm with the winner progressing to the semi-finals.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels 'A' footballers played Kilruane MacDonaghs last Monday evening in the North semi-final but suffered a heavy defeat. They now turn their attentions to the Hurling Championship in the coming weeks.

Under 14: Lorrha Rovers Gaels footballers played Kilruane MacDonaghs in Cloughjordan last Wednesday but suffered a narrow 2-1 to 0-6 defeat. They have one game still to play against Newport in Newport this Wednesday at 7pm; however we cannot make the semi-finals.

Under 12: Lorrha footballers are through to the North 'B' final following a 2-6 to 1-1 semi-final win over Burgess in Kilcolman last Thursday. Lorrha will face Moneygall in the final, possibly this weekend. Best of luck to the players and mentors.

Tipp Draw: The 2017/2018 draw was launched last week. If you want to join, contact any club officer. Tickets are €100 for an excellent prize fund of €500,000 with 12 monthly draws.

Blood Drive: Blood Donation Clinic returns to Moatfield on Tuesday 9th May from 3-5pm and 7-9.30pm.
