Lorrha GAA News for 7 July

Senior: Lorrha will return to action in the Seamus O Riain Cup against Holycross/Ballycahill on the weekend of 11-12 August.

Junior: At the third time of asking, the junior hurlers won their first game in the championship last Sunday evening with a 1-21 to 2-15 win over Nenagh Eire Og in Moatfield. Lorrha have a bye in round 4 and now focus on their final group game away to Templederry on weekend 21-22 July which will determine who progresses to the quarter finals.

Minor: With the Tipperary minor hurlers winning the Munster title and progressing to the All Ireland semi-final, it opens up the opportunity for a couple of rounds of club cham in the coming weeks, beginning this Thursday 5th July v Toomevara in Puckane at 7.00pm. Lorrha Rovers won their first game against Ballina in April.

Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels Under 16 'A' Hurling campaign begins on Monday 9th July, away to Nenagh Eire Og at 7.00pm

Under 14: Lorrha's next game is on Wednesday 18th July when they play Kilruane MacDonaghs.

Under 12: Lorrha's fine form continued over the last week, firstly defeating Toomevara 4-10 to 0-4 last Monday week, while on Friday they travelled to Ballina and won 2-10 to 2-4.

Last Monday, Lorrha took on Roscrea in Roscrea and won 3-11 to 1-2. Lorrha have one fine game to play against Kilruane MacDonaghs but with three wins from five so far, are challenging for the title.

Cul Camp: The Kellogg's Cul Camp in Lorrha takes place from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th July. Registration only online at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie. Cost is €60 for 1st child; €50 for 2nd child; €40 for 3rd and subsequent children. We ask all registrations to be completed as soon as possible to ensure all gear is there for the kids on the first morning.

Tipperary: Well done to the minor hurlers on their win in the Munster final. Best of luck to the Under 21's in their Munster final this evening (Wednesday).
