Lorrha GAA News for 8 August

November 8, 2018

Senior: Lorrha’s Seamus O’Riain Cup quarter final against Boherlahan was postponed last weekend because of a death in the Mid Tipp club. The game has been re-fixed for Saturday, 22 August in Dolla @ 7pm.
On Sunday evening, we travelled to Mullagh to take on the home side in a very good challenge game as part of the unveiling of a plaque to Lorrha great and Mullagh native Tony Reddin. Lorrha won the 50 minute game 1-18 to 2-11
It was a lovely evening despite the poor weather and we would like to thank the Mullagh club for the invitation and we hope to be in a position to do something similar in the next year or so.

U21: Lorrha and Kildangan will have to do it again after last weeks quarter final ended in a draw. See full match report on website. No date has been confirmed for the replay.

Minor: Our next game is away to Newport on this Thursday, 6 August @ 7.30pm. We host Nenagh Éire Óg in our final group game the following Thursday, 13 August.

U16: The Under 16’s have now reached the North semi-finals following a 5-19 to 1-9 win over Borrisokane last week. Our opponents are unknown but the game should take place in the next 2-3 weeks.
