Under 21 Hurling: Lorrha face Burgess in a quarter final of the North U21 ‘A’ Hurling Championship this Saturday. Check North Bord fixtures for time and venue. Best of luck to the players and mentors.
Hallowe’en Camp: 27 juveniles attended our Hallowe’en Camp in Moatfield last week. Thanks to James Dunne, Katie Kennedy and Terry McDonnell for running a successful event, with the inclement weather ensuring events took place both inside and outside the grounds.
Schools: Best of luck to Lorrha/Redwood NS in their County football final against Kilcash NS or Rossmore NS which takes place in the The Ragg on Tuesday, 12th November at 1.05pm.
Shinty: Well done to Patrick Maher who scored Ireland’s only goal as they defeated Scotland in the second test of the Shinty International in Inverness last Saturday.
Auction: Our annual Auction takes place at the GAA Centre on Sunday, 15th December from 2.00pm.
AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club will be held at the GAA Centre on Wednesday, 18th December at 8.00pm. Anyone with outstanding financial issues with the club are to contact treasurer Declan O’Meara as soon as possible before the books are closed prior to the meeting.
Mass for Deceased Members will be celebrated at Redwood Church on Saturday, 21st December at 7.30pm.
Community Work Scheme: Lorrha GAA Club have secured a second Community Employment Scheme. The post is for people who have been on social welfare for the last 12 months and who are over 25 years of age. Applications are being handled through the FAS office in Nenagh.
First Aid Course: North Tipperary Sports Partnership is running a Sports First Aid training course on Saturday 16th November in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh from 10am – 5pm.
Numbers are limited to a maximum of 12 participants and places will be allocated on a first to register basis, so early booking is advised. The cost of the course is €70 per person.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants are presented with a Sports First Aid Certificate and a Heartsaver AED card from the Irish Heart Foundation/ CFR community from PHECC, which is valid for two years.
