Lorrha GAA News for Saturday 21 April

Senior: The seniors suffered another heavy defeat in their second game of the North Championship, losing to Toomevara, 5-22 to 0-18 in Cloughjordan on Sunday. Depending on the outcome of the Tipp v Cork game, our next game will be in 2-3 weeks time.
We return to league action this weekend when we host Holycross/Ballycahill on Saturday @ 6.30pm, where a win would put us into the semi-finals.
Junior: The Juniors travel to Borrisoleigh to take on Borris-Ileigh in their second game of the Junior ‘A’ League this Sunday @ 11.30am.
Minor Football: The amalgamation of Lorrha & Shannon Rovers (Lorrha Rovers) got off to a winning start with a 5-8 to 2-3 win over Nenagh Eire Óg on Wednesday last. Their second game is against Kildangan in Ballinderry on Wednesday (this evening) in Moatfield @ 6.45pm.
Under 14: Last Wednesday’s scheduled game against Templederry failed to take place.
Under 12: The U12’s continued their winning ways with a 5-3 to 3-8 win over Ballinahinch in Moatfield last Friday. Lorrha have now topped the second and now await their knockout game.
Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: The 2011-2012 County Board Draw has now concluded and all promoters are asked to being their accounts up to date in advance of the new Draw which will begin in May. Thanks to all those who supported the draw.
The new Draw will be its 25th Anniversary and there will be 25 Skoda cars as prizes throughout the 2012-2013 Draw. Tickets are €100 each or €10 per month.
Cúl Camp: This years Kelloggs Cúl Camp will be held in Moatfield between 16-20 July. More details to follow.
Gym: Our gym is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7.00 to 9.30pm and on Saturdays from 12-3pm. Gym cost is €3 per session for all club members and €5 per session for non members. For further information, contact Graham (087-9610002), Tadhg (087-4125642) or Sean (087-3643031).
There is also a special class on a Thursday night for those who wish to train at a slower pace from 7.00-8.00pm.
Gymnastics in Moatfield: Midland Artisitic Gymnastics Club training every Monday and Wednesday evening from 5-6pm. All are welcome.
Sports Hall or Function Room booking: If anyone or any sports team would like to use of our facilities, which include a sports hall, gym or training field with floodlights or function room, contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.
Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of PJ Murrihy. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the Coen family, Lorrha on the death of Jack Coen, USA, who died last week. May he rest in peace.
