Lorrha GAA Notes

November 8, 2018

Medals Presentation: Our Intermediate hurlers and Minor footballers took possession of their prized medals on Saturday night at a wonderful Club Social, which was held in the County Arms Hotel, Birr. County Chairman John Costigan spoke wonderfully about our success in 2007 to great acclaim from the large crowd. He then presented the medals to the 33 panellists. Football Board Chairman Noel Morris was also present to hand out medals to the minor footballers. Presentations were also made to senior manager Jim Williams, out going Treasurer Tina Young and to the clubs two heroes on the Tipp minor team, Patrick Maher and Ciaran Haugh. The night didn’t finish there for Patrick who picked up the final award of the night when he was named Club Hurler of the Year to a standing ovation.
The Club would like to thank the management and staff of the County Arms Hotel for a wonderful night while the band “The Legends” were very well received as the celebrations went long into the night.
