Rosemount and Tubber played a very entertaining game of football in O’Growney park Rosemount today which ended all square. Even with both sides short a number of regulars(not surprising on St Stephens day)this match attracted a large number of patrons who raise E1,734 for Charity .This year s nominated charity was the Caring for Kids Project which helps deprived children in Belarus, Ireland and Vietnam. Great credit was due to both sides which included Rosemount mentors Padraig Maxwell and David Keane with referee Pat Fox minding the Goals and Joe Kelly taking over the whistle for the day. The final score was 2.06 to 1.09 and while some people would say Joe lost his pen no one would dispute the spirit in which this annual event was played and well done to all concerned.It’s not too often that Rosemount are afforded a Guard Of Honour but Tubber players gesture in providing same was very much appreiated today
