Lucan Sarsfields Club Notes Monday 26th August 2013

November 8, 2018

Congratulations to the five Lucan camogie players who featured on Dublin Junior camogie team winning the Junior ‘A’ All- Ireland title defeating Offaly on a 1-13 -0-8 scoreline in Clane on Sunday. Michelle Kelly, Emma Flanagan and minor star Orla Beagan started and all played a key part in the victory. Emer Keenan was called into action in the second half to freshen up a tiring Dublin forward line while Ailbhe Ryan was on the substitutes bench. Siobhan Grimes, who was in the team all year was unfortunately unavailable for the match.

This years Family Funday in association with the gathering has been set for Saturday 28th September. We are currently looking for books, dvds and console games which can be left in the green bin inside the front door of the clubhouse.

Our nurseries will resume this Saturday 31st August at 1:30pm on the all weather pitch at our clubhouse grounds at the 12th Lock. Football and Hurling for boys born in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Football for girls born in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and Camogie for girls aged 6 and over. No need to pre-register. Just show up on the day.

A number of trestle tables and chairs are missing from the clubhouse. Any information on their whereabouts would be appreciated.

Nagarhope (charity founded by Doc Clandillon for deprived Children in Nepal) are looking for people to walk the Dublin City Marathon on October 28th in aid of Nagarhope. Doc himself will be walking and would love to have a group from Lucan Sarsfields with him. Nagarhope will cover the entry fees for anyone who gets involved. A reason to get fit, have some fun, support a very good cause and all for free! If interested, contact Paul Stapleton (087 2058572) or Niamh Clandillon (087 066 6891).
