LUCAN SARSFIELDS’ CLUB NOTES MONDAY February 3rd 2014
Membership is now due for 2014. We encourage all members to renew as soon as possible by following the link on our website. We particularly extend an invite to Parents and Guardians of our Juvenile members to consider one of our family options. All players up to U21 are now included in the family options.
Strictly Come Dancing is coming to Lucan! Our events commmitte are looking for dancers, volunteers and experts to help stage the show. Please contact Josephine Donohue, Mary Reynolds or Mary Flannery.
At our recent Adult Awards night the following players were awarded player of the year in the football section: Junior A Tim Bradley, Junior B Alan Hardiman, Minor A Sean Cleary, Minor B Conor Moran, Intermediate Andy Hope and Senior Owen Ennis.
In the camogie section honours went to Dayna Barry Minor Development, Marissa Britton Minor B, Claire Rigney Minor A, Junior B Elaine McClelland, Mairead Ryan Junior A, Louise Beirne Intermediate and Sinead O’Toole Senior.
In the hurling section Darragh Twomey is Minor B player of the year, John Bellew Minor A, Alan Flanagan Junior B, Anthony Lee Junior A and Rob Lambert Senior player of the year.
In the ladies football section the Minor player of the year was Shauna Kinsella, Siobhan O’Neill received the Junior honor and Intermediate player of the year was Aoife McKelvey.

Due to the poor weather pitches have been called off, however a number of challenge games did go ahead over the weekend where there were wins for our U12 Hurlers and U13 Footballers.
Many thanks to John Morrisson and Tommy Brennan for presenting at The Football Focus Day, and to the 60 Lucan Coaches who participated. Special mention to our U13 and U14 footballers who braved the conditions during the practical session, is that not what the all weather is for!

Our nurseries continue every Saturday from 1.30pm at the Clubhouse.
There was no winner of Sunday night’s €4,500 Lotto. The unlucky numbers were 5, 18, 21, 25. This weeks lotto is for a jackpot of €5,000 sponsored by Molloy’s Stores Ballydowd with Mick Mulhall’s Team in charge.
