Adult Awards Night: The 2013 Adult Awards Presentation Night is on Saturday January 25th in the Clubhouse. Team Managers are asked to retrieve the perpetual Player of the Year Trophies from last year’s winners and return them to the Club bar.
The club will be hosting a Football Focus Event on Sat 1st Feb from 10am-4pm.
The target audience is juvenile/adult coaches and mentors, current and past adult players, anyone in the Club with an interest in promoting and assisting with the implementation of structures within the football section and anyone you may know within the wider community how would benefit from or be in a position to contribute to the Football Section of Club.
This event is open to all codes with many of the themes common to Hurling, Camogie and Ladies Football. This event is part of our overall coaching education program for 2014 and would recommend attendance from across the clubs coaching population.
The aim of this event is to provide some background on the Focus areas for the Football Section in 2014, Coaching, Structures and Player Personal Development.
With this in mind we have lined up experts in the area of Coaching, Strength and Conditioning, and Injury Prevention
John Morrison currently the Monaghan Ladies trainer and formerly coach with Leitrim, Donegal and Mayo will lead a morning of practical coaching tips on the all-weather.
This will be followed by a talk and demonstration from our own Tommy Brennan on injury prevention.
Stephen Shaughnessy will then present his experience on the importance of consistency in coaching, the focus on skills and the importance of the individual, based upon his vast experience in the Dublin Development setup.

Our nurseries continue every Saturday from 130pm at the Clubhouse.
There was no winner of Sunday night’s €3,000 Lotto. The unlucky numbers were 4,5,20,28. This weeks lotto is for a jackpot of €3,500 and John Ryan Accountant will be our sponsor with Seamus Clandillon’s Team in charge.
