LUCAN SARSFIELDS’ CLUB NOTES MONDAY NOVEMBER 12th 2012
Congratulations to Owen Comerford & James Mulhern who share the Lucan Sarsfields LAST MAN STANDING prize of €1000 Prize-giving details to follow New LAST MAN STANDING competition details to follow! Thank you to all those who supported our competition. Well done to both our under 16 boys football teams on winning their leagues over the last week. Our under 15 camogie team continued the club’s winning streak by winning the “A” championship on Sunday. Our senior hurlers will be back in AHL 1 next year after winning division 2. Well done to our 7 senior hurlers who have been nominated for this years hurling Dub star awards: Peter Kelly (full back line), Cro Dooley (full back line), Matt McCaffrey (half back line), Dermot Clarke (midfield), Mick May (half forward line), Chris Crummey (half forward line) and Kevin O’Reilly (full forward line). Our Games Promotion Officer Johnny McCaffrey will be running a foundation award course for mentors in the club on the Monday 26th, Wednesday 28th November and Monday 3rd of December The first night (26th Nov) will be theory which will be indoors. The second Night (28th Nov) will be football practial outdoors and the third night (3rd Dec) will be hurling Practial outdoors Cost 10euro To register just text Johnny on 085-1294102. There will be a TRAD SESSION in the Club bar with Lucan Comhaltas Sat 17th Nov from 9.30pm .All Welcome.There will be a CÉILÍ MÓR in the club with Seanóg Céilí Band on Fri 23rd Nov from 9pm.Adm. €10. Club Shop opening times.Tuesday (7:30-8:30pm) & Saturdays Morning (10:30am – 11:30am) opening only until Christmas.Occasional opening during nurseries on Saturdays when staff are available. No Thursday openings until further notice. Socks, shorts etc. available from the bar during club hours. Our nurseries now take place every Saturday on our All Weather Pitch at our clubhouse grounds at The 12th Lock. Football and Hurling for boys born in 2006, 2007 and 2008 1:30pm to 3pm. Football for girls born in 2005,2006 and 2007 1:30pm to 2:15pm and Camogie for girls aged 6 and over 2:15 to 3:00. No need to pre-register..Set Dancing classes take place every Wednesday @ 8.30pm. Everyone welcome, no partner required. This weeks lotto numbers 4-9-12-13. No winner. Next weeks jackpot will be €6,000. Josephine Donohue’s team will be in charge next Sunday night when our sponsor will be Carey’s Newsagents.
