LUCAN SARSFIELDS’ CLUB NOTES MONDAY September 24th 2012
Best of luck to Seanie McClelland and Eoghan O’Congaile who will be representing the club this Sunday in The All Ireland Minor Hurling Final Replay against Tipperary. Our senior hurlers had a great win against O’Tooles last Saturday in the championship quarter final. They now play Kilmacud Crokes in the semi final this Saturday at 5:15pm in Parnell Park. Our under 15 hurlers are in the championship final against Ballyboden St.Endas this Friday in St. Vincents at 8:30pm. However this time is subject to change so check our website on Thursday night. Our Junior A Hurlers also had a good league win over Ballinteer last Saturday. Well done to our U-8 Footballers who won all 10 of their matches last Saturday morning. The Annual Seamus Morris senior school football blitz took place on Friday the 14th September in the 12th Lock. With 8 schools taking part we split the teams into two groups of four with each team playing 3matches in the group. There was a very good standard of football on show with many of the players showing great skill and excellent team work. St Mary’s came out on top in the final against a battling Scoil Aine team. Special mention to Adamstown Castle Educate Together who were taking part for their first time.Best of Luck to all the Lucan schools in the upcoming Cuman Na Mbunscoil leagues. The list for tickets for All Ireland Hurling Final Replay is now behind the Bar in the Club and will be there till Thursday night next 27th September. Draw for tickets will take place on Thursday night at 10.15pm approx. Those present on the night will get first choice so it’s important to be there.Our nurseries now take place every Saturday on our All Weather Pitch at our clubhouse grounds at The 12th Lock. Football and Hurling for boys born in 2006, 2007 and 2008 1:30pm to 3pm. Football for girls born in 2005,2006 and 2007 1:30pm to 2:30pm and Camogie for girls aged 6 and over 2:30 to 3:30. No need to pre-register. Set Dancing classes take place every Wednesday @ 8.30pm. Everyone welcome, no partner required.. This weeks lotto numbers 7-19-20-22. No winner. Next weeks jackpot will be €2500.
