‘I’m looking forward to playing Bohemians. Disappointed to be without Boco and Danny Ventre but one of the most pleasing aspects of the season so far has been the ability of the squad to cope with inujuries and suspensions. I’ve been in the job over 12 months now and a victory away from home against one of the bigger club has so far eluded us, but we’re due one and I can’t wait for Friday.’Fans view
Rovers bounced back well on Tuesday night with a gutsy performance and a well-deserved point against Drogheda United following the defeat at the hands of St Pats last week in the Showgrounds. Bohs are in great form at the moment with four wins in the last five league games and only one defeat all season. They have a mean defensive record and with Killian Brennan and Neal Fenn producing the goods, they are always a danger up front. Realistically a point would be a decent result for Paul Cook’s men in what will be a tight affair.
Team news
Rovers have a full squad available except for Danny Ventre who is serving a suspension and Romy Boco who is on World Cup qualifier duty as captain of Benin.
Romy will be away for most of June as his team face four qualifiers for 2010 starting with a difficult away tie against Angola on Saturday. That will be followed up with a home game against Uganda on June 8 before finishing with back to back games at home and away against Niger on 14 /22 June respectively. We wish Romy and his team mates the very best of luck.
