Greenfields U14 2nd year team drew with Knocknacarra U14 team in a closely faught game. Both teams attacked from the start with Rachael Bradley, Aoife Codyre and Eris Burke working hard in midfield. The defence of Cara O;Brien, Aedin Hanahoe, Grace O’Donnell, Fiona Murtagh and Sifra Tobin in goals were kept busy by the Knocknacarra forwards and dealt brilliantly with any balls which came their way. Saoirse Doherty, Jessica Nolan and Holly Fitzgerald came close to scoring on a few occasions. The game ended scoreless on this occasion.
The U14 1st year team had a tough outing against Knocknacarra also. They held them to 0-0 at half time with Aoife Codyre in goals making some superb saves.The knocknacarra girls were a bit to strong on this occasion coming out with a 3 nil victory.
