Mayo Abbey Community Council is looking for local people who have good computer skills and would be interested in sharing their skills with others. They are setting up a new project which will involve giving basic instructions free to people in the community. If you can spare time to help, you can contact Ger at 094 93 65 735.
MAY COLLECTION TIME
As usual the month of May is Western Care door-to-door collection month. Collectors will call to all household in the parish during the next two weeks. Western Care sincerely thanks the voluntary collectors who do the round year after year. They also thank everyone who have contributed over the years. New collectors and members are always welcome.

A gents gold watch was found outside Mayo Abbey church on First Holy Communion Sunday day.
RECENT DEATHS
The deaths have taken place recently of two parishioners in the prime of life. Ger Browne, Balla, a native of Barnagreggaun died after a short illness. Sympathy is extended to his Mother, Nora, Claremorris, brothers, James and Peter, Currymacmanus, his sisters, Angela, Mary, Veronica, Margaret, Patricia and Helen, in England.
The death also took place after a short illness of Dermot McLoughlin, Knockroe. Sympathy is extended to his wife Yvonne, sons, David, Francis and James, daughter, Colleen. His brother Seamus (Dublin) sister Patricia (Dublin). The area was also saddened to hear of the deaths in the prime of life of Myles McDonnell, Manulla, and John Chambers Leixlip, formerly of Rathduff, Balla. Both of whom died after short illnesses. Sympathy is extended to their families.
