Mayo Gaels AGM

Mayo Gaels AGM took place in the clubhouse on Sunday last, December 11th. A large crowd attended. The Chairman John Gallagher addressed the meeting and welcomed all present where he outlined all the work carried out during 2011. He also thanked all volunteers for all their help during 2011 and looked forward to it continuing it in 2012. There were also reports from Secretary Maureen Burke who reflected on the achievements of the intermediate retaining their championship status and a strong finish to the league resulting in promotion to Division 1C as a result of the restructured leagues. Treasurer Alan Prendergast gave a comprehensive overview of the financial position of the club and in particular the success and importance of the club lotto. Intermediate team manager Stephen also gave a report on the teams activities of the team during reflecting on the strong finish to the league. He thanked the players for their dedication during the year and looked forward to working with them again in 2012. The following Officers were elected:
