The Mayo Gaels B team lost out to a strong Kiltane side last Saturday, May 9th. The final scoreline of 3-11 to 6-14 doesn't fully portray the exciting finish to this encounter. With only 8 points notched up by half-time, Mayo Gaels only gave the large crowd something to cheer about in the final 15 minutes when 3 goals and as many points were starting to make the scoreboard a little more respectable looking.
A win for the home side was never really on the cards as Kiltane rammed home 5 goals in the 1st half that put the tie to bed. However the Gaels, to their credit, battled on and the flurry of scores before the end lifted their spirits and ensured they would all be available for the next game.
